It was the 1980s, when we started as a small firm trying to make a difference in the realm of Business Excellence, from then to now, Kaizen Institute has come a long way standing true to its name - ‘Change for the better.’ Through this venture, we have supported over 1000+ companies in their journey towards success around the world.

The year 2020 marks 20 years of Kaizen Institute in India and 15 years of Kaizen Institute in Africa. Over the years, with the help of various publications, KAIZEN™, Lean concepts and tools that have gained popularity and have become a standard in the industry. But it was our Founder Sensei Masaaki Imai, author of the groundbreaking book: 'KAIZEN™ - The Key to Japan’s Competitive Success' who introduced the term ‘KAIZEN™’ to the western world. Since its inception, Kaizen Institute has been the original and premier provider of KAIZEN™ services for companies of all sizes in all market segments, providing them with a sustainable, competitive advantage.

Kaizen Institute India was formed in 2000 in India and Kaizen Institute Africa was formed in Mauritius, in 2005. Throughout the years, we have worked with our clients to create methods that highlight obstacles while simultaneously nurturing and empowering their teams to solve them. 

We have stood by our mission to improve the world one step at a time. We keep researching, developing and publishing various aspects of Continuous Improvement, while partnering with our clients, equipping them to achieve sustainable improvements through our consulting, training and benchmark projects, guiding them on their KAIZEN™ journey.

What began as a small experiment in Consulting service delivery, based on the then relatively new principles of 

  1. ‘implementation’, not ‘advice’ 
  2. ‘action’ orientated, not ‘endless analysis-paralysis’ orientated
  3. ‘hand-on’, not ‘hands-off’
  4. ‘Gemba based’, not ‘Conference Room’ based
  5. ‘rapid’ paced not ‘glacially slow’ paced
  6. ‘people centric’ not ‘consultant centric’

has since gained widespread recognition as a valid & successful improvement mode. It has gained us a niche recognition as one of the premier facilitators of Operational Excellence, Lean and KAIZEN™ implementation services in several African countries and India.

What helped us reach this milestone?
